Live From Silver City

Party!

If you live in/near Silver City and want to wish Meredith and I off in style, we’re having a going-away-get-together at Isaac’s this Friday. OK, it’s not a party per se, because I don’t want to have to reserve the joint, but I’m going to be there, and maybe you’ll want to be there at the same time too! Starts at 6 p.m.

    Good luck, Avelino!

Though I never actually met you in real life, it has been a pleasure to read your blog and talk to you via e-mail. Be sure to keep in touch and remember us little folk in New Mexico.

I had heard that the party was at 8, so we got to Isaac’s a half hour after you left — nevertheless, thanks for your blog and your good reporting here in your hometown. You’ll be greatly missed — but you’ll have a lot of good experiences in the DC area too — and we’ll wait for you to come home —

be sure to check out the Ethiopian restaurants in Adams Morgan and the trails in Rock Creek Park — to name just a few of the things I miss — All best luck — Anne and Alan
