Breaking News: Smokestack injunction denied

District Judge J.C. Robinson ruled against the Gila Resources Information Project this morning, denying their petition for a temporary injunction to halt the demolition of the Hurley smokestacks. The stacks will still not be demolished this week, a spokesman said, because the company needs time to prepare the chimneys.

    Hold your breath when these things come down. That asbestos may not be friable now but it certainly will be when the stack hits the ground.
