Special header today, since it’s Daffodil Day in Ireland. The Irish Cancer Society has more:
The 20th anniversary of Daffodil Day is on Friday 23rd March 2007. With your support we aim to get everyone in Ireland wearing a daffodil — the international symbol of hope — and have the country ablaze with vibrant yellow blooms and other Daffodil Day merchandise. Every daffodil helps the Irish Cancer Society provide quality care and emotional support to cancer patients and their families through our free, nationwide nursing services.
If you feel like donating, I’d recommend it, or, head on over to the American Cancer Society and make a donation there: I’m sure the Irish won’t mind too much.

Daffodils are the happiest flower. I firmly believe we should institute Daffodil Day here.

England has red poppy week for the troops. You donate a pound and wear it all week long, and the cool thing is that there is not a soul who does not donate money. They raised something like 10 million pounds. The joys of small, united countries!
