We had actual lightning and thunder in the Silver City area this morning. I didn’t have my tripod with me to get some photos, but the flashes and booms were unmistakable.
And I find myself taking an alternate route to work when I leave at 5:20 a.m., as opposed to 7:50 (and, let’s be honest, 8:15). There are no cars on the road, and the streets I usually take to avoid traffic are as empty as the ones I drove on this morning so I could take the shorter route.

OK, better get working.
