From party secretary Anne MacCormick:
The Grant County Democratic Party office — a beautiful, large space in the Lois Lane Plaza on Hwy 180 with a view of the county building — is open, running, and ‘wired’ with two computers with access to the Internet. Carol Morrison, our office manager, is eager to get a schedule of volunteers to keep the office open from now until Election Day. She is tentatively scheduling hours of 11:30 a.m. until 6 p.m. weekdays (or opening at 10 a.m., if volunteers are available), and Saturdays until 1 p.m., for August and September.
Volunteers are needed to just be there and help ‘walk in’ visitors — give out information about the candidates, and direct people where to go to register to vote. We also need people to call other potential volunteers.
Please contact Carol at 388-2358 or email her at carolmorr@gmail.com if you can volunteer.
GENO FLOOTE
We have a website, http://www.nothirdterm2008.com, dedicated to democratic
> victories in the House, Senate, and Presidential elections. A vote for
> John McCain is a third term vote for George Bush, and our great nation
> can not tolorate four more years of Republican administation. “No Third
> Term” is a phrase that will resonate with voters, and every hat, shirt,
> bumpersticker, and campaign butten with our message will be a reminder
> of the miserable state Americans now find ourselves in, and who is
> responsible. We are donating 10% of retail sales profits to help the
> Democratic National Convention in August. and then will donate the same
> amount to the Domocratic National Party until the election. We are also
> offering fundraising opportunities to state and county Democratic Party
> headquarters nationwide allowing 100% profit on every item sold. Please
> let us know through our website where and to whom to send samples.
