Two articles should be popping up in the Daily Press this afternoon regarding Silver City. The first is the result of last night’s work session on water development. Councilors, Mayor Marshall and staff went through an 18-page draft ordinance paragraph by paragraph, suggesting changes and debating policy decisions.
The second article regards the demolition of the Hillcrest Hospital. A little bird told me this morning that the estimated cost to tear the building down (not including the reclamation) has jumped by about 60%, to $800,000.
Check today’s edition for more information on both of these developing stories.

I’m thinking a pre-demolition hospital memorabilia sale might raise some money to defray the cost. Some leftover unused toe tags might be hot items.
