On Saturday, February 25, starting at 8:00 PM The Mudcats will be playing a dance concert to benefit El Refugio, Incorporated, a domestic violence shelter serving southwestern New Mexico. Music begins at 8:00 p.m. A $10 donation is requested at the door, 100 percent of which will go to El Refugio. The venue will be smoke-free.
The Mudcats are a mostly blues-oriented band that plays different styles of blues – Chicago, Cajun, Texas, and more. Sound reinforcement is being donated by Barefoot Studios of Arenas Valley. The Buffalo Bar is donating the use of their dance hall.
“El Refugio provides a valuable service to southwest New Mexico, and this dance offers a wonderful opportunity for the community to support the agency’s efforts,” said El Refugio board President Fred Fox, M.D. “We are thankful to The Mudcats and Barefoot Studios for donating their time, skill, and music to our organization, and to the Buffalo Bar for donating the use of their dance facility.”
