		<description>I lived in DC pre-Metro. Fortunately I was able to walk down Connecticut Avenue to my workplace. Your note reminded me of two &quot;routines&quot; that established themselves over the period. One was being passed by Senator Wm Proxmire most mornings as he jogged to the Hill. The other was being soaked to the bone many summer afternoons as I walked home. The daily showers occurred like clockwork! Working creates many routines...
