The Fall Colors

Yesterday I blogged about the colors around the area, and then this morning I found an overabundance:

Rainbow Drops

The dew was everywhere this morning, and the only trouble I had was finding something orange! I had to settle on a leaf in the sun, which meant the dew was already gone. I hope you don’t mind.

UPDATE: 4:50 p.m. —  So, here’s a larger version without the text. Should work fine for wallpaper if you center and/or crop it.

  1. That’s really neat buddy! What a great idea, with the colors and the dew drops.

  2. I am pretty ticked about the absence of dew on the orange leaf. Don’t let it happen again.

  3. The lack of dew on the drops is fine, I just wish that there weren’t two reds, and no indigo. Otherwise, great picture.

If this were bigger, it could have been my new wallpaper.

  4. I agree with who. I’m terribly disappointed by the lack of dew on the orange leaf. Fix it.

  8. I agree with mike jones. It would have looked better without the text. Can I take the picture, modify it without the text and post it on my blog ? I didn’t find any reference to any licence on you site so this is why I ask permission.

  13. Wow, that’s pretty cool.. I think you could have left out the “rainbow drops” part though, it sorta takes away from the images.

  17. Very nice colors! A little photography trick is to carry with you a little spray bottle w/ water. Then when you need some dew, spritz it and you get instant dew.

  18. Did a very similar setup to this back in ‘02 – been wanting to make a better once since…

  19. Photography like this inspires me to take a look around and enjoy creation; Fall is an incredible time of year. The way you mirrored the color distribution in the words underneath is creative. Great work. Glad to see politics isn’t destroying your taste for nature!

  22. awesome colors! i had to resize the wallpaper so i could see all of the colors without stretching the images, maybe it would be good to make it proportionate to desktops?

  23. Really nice pics and crops, but the text at the bottom really ruined it for me.. why not lose that terrible and aliasing effect and increase the space between the letters so it will fill the whole square? perhaps use a sans serif font will also help ;)
