Meri @ The Harbor

Meri @ The WallWell, I didn’t have any Internet while on my travels, and I’m writing from a Starbucks in Baltimore just to get man update online. Here’s some photos from the move and from our first weekend in Baltimore. Above, you’ll see Meredith in Baltimore Harbor, where we had gone in search of the new Harry Potter book. Unfortunately, its sold out everywhere (while I imagine the Wal-Mart back in Silver City has about 3,000 extra copies).

At left, Meredith is chilling inside the Berlin Wall. Yeah, I know, that’s what I said. Seriously, Winston Churchill gave his famous “Iron Curtain” speech at Westminster College, which is in Fulton Missouri. “Hey, isn’t Meredith from Missouri?” you ask. Ding ding ding! Tell them what they won Chuck!

Again, seriously — they brought over a London church (The Church of St. Mary the Virgin, Aldermanbury) and established the Winston Churchill Memorial and Library there. Meredith’s mom took us for a visit mid way through our cross-country journey.

More photos below: you’ll have to click on em for descriptions and for larger versions — I’m not writing it all twice. Time to go, for now. I hope to have more later this week. I’m heading down to D.C. tomorrow!
