Ocotillo

I came home later than I expected yesterday, because I spotted blooming ocotillo along Transmountain Road while driving my sister to the El Paso airport. Naturally, on the way back, I stopped to take some photos.

The Franklin Mountains State Park is a great little place to visit if you’re in the El Paso area. For starters, you don’t have to drive into the city proper, or deal with its traffic. There are also a number of trailheads for hiking and biking, and a picnic area for food-related fun.

Oh, and did I mention the flora?
