Haussaman: Governor Richardson ‘Did alright’

I’m alone in the office today (Jim is off on Fridays and Mary Alice, Stina and Meredith are all traveling to accept awards from the Presswoman’s Association). I’m also shooting a wedding this weekend, so I’ll be light on blogging until Monday. Nonetheless, check out Heath Haussamen’s report on the Democratic debate last night:

I predicted today that Bill Richardson would shine at tonight’s Democratic presidential candidate debate. It turns out the only aspect of the New Mexico governor’s performance that shone was the sweat on his face.

I almost hate to say it. My intent isn’t to be mean. It’s to be honest. That’s my job.

There’s plenty more. Also see Heath’s liveblogging of the event.

  1. I think that the Governor was a mixed bag. But as New Mexicans who follow politics, I think we know what he was trying to say, so we give him the benefit of the doubt.

He looked nervous and talked to slow. But at least he didn’t pull a Gravel and go off his meds for the debate.
