Why I was in Albuquerque this weekend

We were invited to a press flight of the Liberty Belle, a World War II B-17 that was restored by the Liberty Foundation. Meredith and I were going to take a press flight (she as the writer, with me taking photos) to help get the word out about the plane.

Three hours before Monday’s scheduled flight, we received a call about a “development” with the plane: the Albuquerque week was being rescheduled. No flight for us.

Definitely a bummer, but hopefully we’ll be able to head up again when the plane does make it to Albuquerque again.
