A reminder that “Issues lunch” favorite Rick Sherman will lead a discussion of “Whither Iraq?” this coming Thursday, January 4, 7 pm, at the Unitarian Church building at 3845 North Swan Street. Rick will review the Iraq Study Group report and the reactions to it, provide some background and insights on the personalities involved, and discuss some solutions that the new Congress might consider. This is an open discussion, organized spontaneously — everyone is welcome, so tell your friends and neighbors.
The Unitarian Church is a white metal bldg w/ a blue roof on the W side of Swan Street, just past the Texas-NM Power Co bldg. The parking lot is not well lit, so be aware of that when you come. It would be a good idea to carpool. Coffee etc will be available, and you might want to bring leftover holiday goodies to share.
