GRIP is happy to announce an on-line version of our exhibit “Creative, Sustainable Architecture and Design in the Home,” now viewable at www.gilaresources.info/greendesign.html.
The exhibit, shown as part of the Weekend at the Galleries this year, highlights innovative strategies locals have used to build green homes, including site and building design, energy efficiency and green and recycled materials.
Resources on green building complement the exhibit: a directory of local green building resources and green building web resources has been started and is available on-line at www.gilaresources.info/greenresource.htm. If you know of a local green business or web resource on green design that you feel should be included in the list, please contact Marya Gendron at firstname.lastname@example.org or Allyson Siwik at email@example.com.
If you missed the exhibit at the Weekend at the Galleries and would like to see the large-format prints in person, please call the GRIP office at (505) 538-8078 to set up an appointment. The show is still hanging. It is also potentially available for loan to other organizations or venues.
GRIP hopes this exhibit and resource directory is only the beginning of a deeper exploration of sustainable design, possibly through future films and lectures on the topic. You can stay informed of other events we may hold by checking our website regularly!
