Last night the Twisted Vine held its first ever Trivia Night contest. Four teams participated in the two-round event, which will be held every Wednesday at 7 p.m. Our team, dubbed Perrier (we all happened to be drinking the stuff when they asked for our team name) came out on top. We were awarded a $40 gift certificate for the Vine, while the second place team received $25.
The money was an afterthought though, because the thrill of the game was worth more than the reward: scribbling answers on the back of our scorecard, using hushed whispers to avoid the spying ears of our competitors, and silently hoping that we had, in fact, listed philosophers Martin Luther, Rene Descartes, Friedrich Nietzsche and Jean-Paul Sartre in the order of the birth.
Our team included, from left, members Meredith Purvis, myself, Stina Seig and Ginny Worthington.
