Della Cruz, better known as the “Pink Bike”, will be the grand prize to be awarded in a drawing on Sunday, November 26th at 2 p.m. at the Silver City Museum to benefit the Museum. Della, a stylish 2006 one-speed Retro Cruiser by Diamondback, was won at last year’s $1.98 Follies by Berma Matteson, a member of the Museum Board. Ms. Matteson has generously donated her winnings to benefit the Museum.

Tickets to win the Pink Bike will go on sale September 23rd, during Silver City’s annual celebration, “A Taste of Downtown.” Other fantastic prizes in the drawing include pottery by Leslie Lent and donated by the Blue Dome Gallery, a framed and matted charcoal drawing by Joe Wade of the Hurley Art Gallery, a $50 gift certificate from Wrangler’s Restaurant, a gift certificate for the newly opened Isaac’s Bar & Grill, a copy of the book, Built to Last: An Architectural History of Silver City, New Mexico and a limited edition glass ornament made in recognition of Silver City being one of the National Trust for Historic Preservation’s “Dozen Distinctive Destinations” donated by the Museum Gift Shop. Chances to win, at $1 each, will be available at the Museum Store, Hurley Art Gallery, Dos Baristas, Gila Hike & Bike, A Mouse of All Trades and the Silver Confectionary.
