Flash flood forces evacuations in Santa Clara

About five families were evacuated, and members of the Santa Clara Police Department, along with firefighters from Santa Clara and Bayard, staged a daring rope-line rescue of three residents, according to Chief Paul Jasso.

This house, near the intersection of Seven Sons and Racetrack roads, sits above a pool of flood water Wednesday night.
