Heath Haussaman has the goods on low turnout in Doña Ana County, including one precint that logged one vote as of 1 p.m. I’m heading out to some of the precints in Grant County to check on turnout levels here. Things do not look good, from what the Daily Press staff has told me. One worker who was out this morning reported a poll worker saying the “big rush” involved three voters coming in to cast ballots. Another employee who just voted said it was “dead out there.”
In other election news, the Secretary of State’s election results Web site was wiped clean sometime today. As early as this morning, I saw figures when you clicked on the “statewide” dropdown menu, and several of the links for county results were clickable. This afternoon, nothing. Not sure what happened there, but I’ll try to find out.
Turnout likely very low (gasp — shocker!)
