This is an addition to the blogroll that’s late in coming, but I hope all you locals visit Julia Goldberg’s blog. I can’t believe I haven’t included her before — she’s a thoughtful journalist who edits the alt weekly Santa Fe Reporter (see their candidate picks here).
We had a little power outage here in Silver City this afternoon, but not before I learned that 1,054 Grant County residents voted early in the 2006 Primary Election, along with another 228 who submitted mail-in ballots. That’s about 6 percent of the 21,712 registered voters in the county.
You thought I was going give actual results there, didn’t you? Well, sorry, no dice: the results won’t be available until 7 p.m. tomorrow.
