I went for a short hike yesterday with a friend of mine, to the Big Tree out at Fort Bayard. It’s a four-mile hike, nothing serious, and it as fun. I shot over 200 frames while out there, including some great photos of twisted old trees and a herd of elk at dusk.
Then, I came home, copied the pictures to my computer, and promptly formatted the card. Turns out, I didn’t actually copy them over to the computer. Not sure what happened, but it looks like the images have vanished into the nether, never to be seen again.
At first, I was a little upset with my self. Then, I realized I didn’t want to be that type of photographer. The world would not end, etc. So, here I am, writing a blog post rather than cropping and adjusting levels in Photoshop.
I hope everybody out there has a great weekend.
