After stepping out of the office for lunch this afternoon, I was struck by how beautiful a day it was. And, having worked 5 hours this weekend, I decided to take the afternoon off.
I went to Box Canyon, near Cliff and Gila, with a friend and his new pooch, Rosko. We hiked along the riverside, and through the sticker bushes too, and I was able to take some incredible pictures. Two of them I will sample for you here.
This was shot with an orange filter, looking upstream into the sun. Thanks to a little Photoshop magic (provided by Steven) I was able to get the blue glow effect going on. Click the image for a full-size view.
Again, shot with an orange filter, but switched over to black and white using Photoshop. Click the image for a full-size view.
